The Urgency of Christ’s Return: A Call to Share the Good News

“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.” — John 14:3 (NKJV)

Christ’s return is not just a distant prophecy—it is a promise. A promise that gives us hope in times of uncertainty, strength in moments of weakness, and purpose in our daily walk. Yet, while we wait with anticipation, we must also recognize the urgency: this message is not just for us. It is for the world.

A Message Too Important to Keep Quiet Imagine standing at the edge of a burning building. You have found the only exit—the only way to escape the flames. Would you keep that knowledge to yourself, watching as others struggle in confusion, unaware of the danger? Or would you shout, pull, and urge them toward safety? The return of Christ is that exit—the moment when eternity is sealed. And we are called to make sure others know the way before it’s too late.

Scripture tells us that Jesus will return like a thief in the night (1 Thessalonians 5:2). It will be sudden, unexpected, and decisive. There will be no second chances once the moment arrives. This is why we must be intentional in sharing the truth. We cannot assume that people will stumble upon it by chance—we are commanded to be messengers.

A Love That Compels Us to Speak When we truly grasp the depth of God’s love—the sacrifice of Christ, the grace poured out for us—it is impossible to remain silent. Love moves us to action. Love breaks through hesitation. Love speaks even when fear tries to hold our tongues.

It is not about forcing the gospel upon others. It is about living in such a way that they cannot help but see Christ in us. It is about being ready to explain the hope that fuels our joy, the peace that steadies our hearts, the love that anchors our souls. When we shine that light, people will be drawn to it.

Now is the Time There is no time for delay. The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few (Matthew 9:37). Every interaction, every conversation, every act of kindness carries the potential to point someone toward Christ. We do not know when He will return, but we do know this: He is coming. And when He does, may He find us faithful—faithful in sharing, faithful in living, and faithful in believing.

Let today be the day you step boldly into the call to share the gospel. Not out of fear, but out of love. Not just because time is short, but because the message is too beautiful to keep to ourselves. Christ is coming—let’s make sure the world knows.
